RIPOSO - REST - REPOSO

Non si puo' usare meglio che parlando con Dio ed ascoltandolo. In preghiera mentale, dunque. Ma se la preghiera mentale sembra non funzionare, quella vocale, senza distrazioni, e' pure magnifica.

You cannot use it better than talking to God and listening to Him. Filling it with mental prayer, then. And when mental prayer seems not to work, vocal prayer, without distractions, is also magnificent.

No se puede usar mejor que hablando con Dios y ascoltandole. Haciendo oracion mental, pues. Pero si parece que no se saque provecho de la oracion mental, la oracion vocal, sin distracciones, es tambien magnifica.

Ci dicono che saranno riformate, ma la verita' e' che, con tanto debito pubblico ed un'aumentata durata media della vita, semplicemente cesseranno di esistere. Meglio prepararsi.

Anche se non e' politicamente corretto affermarlo, la vita e' un valore assoluto, mentre la liberta' no. Infatti la vita non si puo' comprare. La liberta' si'. E non si puo' essere piu' vivi o meno vivi, mentre si puo' essere piu' liberi o meno liberi.

La primera noticia de hoy ha sido que a mi amigo y colega del despacho en frente al mio acaban de diagnosticarle una leucemia aguda. Medico como yo. Un año mas joven que yo. Tres hijos pequeños. Y Dios no estaba de vacaciones. Oremos. Por favor.

In questa vita, e' piu' facile ottenerla lottando che amando. Nella vita eterna, invece, cioe' nell'Amore assoluto, non si puo' ne' ottenere, ne' perdere. E' intrinseca e completa.

In this life, it is easier to achieve it if you fight than if you love. In the eternal life, instead, that is in the absolute Love, you can neither obtain it nor lose it. It is both intrinsic and complete.

En esta vida, es mas facil alcanzarla luchando que amando. En la vida eterna, en cambio, es decir en el Amor absoluto, no se puede ni alcanzar, ni perder. Ya esta', intrinseca y completa.

IL MEGLIO ED IL PEGGIO DI SE' - THE BEST AND WORST OF ONESELF - LO MEJOR Y LO PEOR DE UNO MISMO

Viene fuori comunque in situazioni estreme, quando l'unica scelta e' essere uomo o essere bestia. Il che dimostra, in entrambi i casi, che Dio ci ha creati davvero liberi.

Se observa siempre en situaciones extremadas, cuando la unica eleccion es entre ser hombre o ser bestia. Lo que demeuestra como Dios nos creo' verdaderamente libres.

Ci sono gli ambiziosi e i non ambiziosi. Ed in entrambi i gruppi troviamo coloro che fanno cio' che va fatto, coloro che fanno cio' che non va fatto, ed infine coloro i quali, facendo piu' di quanto sia loro dovere, pensano di poter fare anche piu' di quanto sia loro diritto.

There are those with ambitions and those without. And in both groups we can find those who do what they are supposed to, those who do what they are not supposed to, and finally those who, as they do more than what would be their duty to do, think to be entitled to do more than what is their right to do.

Hay los ambiciosos y los sin ambicion. E in ambos grupos se encuentran los que hacen lo que deben, los que no hacen lo que deben, y finalmente los que, como hacen mas de lo que es su deber, piensan poder hacer tambien mas de lo que tienen derecho de hacer.
