La Santa Chiesa: duemila anni di vita, mai senza nemici, esterni ed interni, e quasi sempre senza un esercito competitivo. Pare di sentire Gamaliele proprio duemila anni fa: se e' di Dio, inutile combatterla; se no, sparira' da sola. Duemila anni senza interruzioni, ed eccola li', piu' vitale che mai ed armata solo della Parola di Dio, della Santa Eucaristia e della preghiera.
The Holy Church: two thousand years of life, never without enemies, external and internal, and almost always without a competitive army. You can almost hear Gamaliel, two thousand years ago: and if it is God's, it would be useless to fight her, and if not, it will disappear effortlessly. Two thousand years without interruption, and there it is, more vital than ever, and armed only with the Word of God, the Holy Eucharist and prayer.
La Santa Iglesia: dos mil años de vida, no sin enemigos, externos e internos, y casi siempre sin un ejército competitivo. Casi parece oír a Gamaliel hace dos mil años: si es de Dios, inútil luchar contra ella, y si no, va a desaparecer por si sola. Dos mil años sin interrupción, y ahí está, más vital que nunca, y armada sólo con la Palabra de Dios, la Sagrada Eucaristía y la oración.
