Il vero cristiano aspira ad essere un altro Cristo. Anzi di piú: aspira a permettere che Cristo in qualche modo riviva in lui. Aspira dunque in qualche modo a diventare Cristo. L'obiettivo, di per sé, é a dir poco ambizioso con la Grazia, ed addirittura impossibile senza. E la Grazia si ottiene mediante i Sacramenti. Per questo si puó cominciare da azioni ed atteggiamenti quotidiani controcorrente: ricevere Gesú sacramentalmente ogni giorno, pregare per i nemici chiedendo per loro il meglio secondo il cuore di Dio, amare una religione che insegna come anche il peggiore malfattore, finché vive, puó ancora diventare Cristo. Magari meglio di noi, specie se noi ci adagiamo sugli allori.
The true Christian wants to be another Christ. More than that, he aims at allowing Christ to relive in some way in him. Therefore, he somehow aims at becoming Christ. The goal, in itself, is nothing less than ambitious with Grace, and even impossible without it. And Grace comes through the Sacraments. For this reason, you can begin from daily actions and attitudes that go against commonplaces: to receive sacramentally Jesus every day, to pray for your enemies asking for them the best according to the heart of God, to love a religion that teaches how even the worst offender, while living, yet can still become Christ. Perhaps better than us, especially if we rest on our laurels.
El verdadero cristiano aspira a ser otro Cristo. Más todavía: aspira a dejar que Cristo vuelva de alguna manera a vivir en él. Por lo tanto aspira a convertirse de alguna manera en Cristo. El objetivo, en sí mismo, es nada menos que ambicioso con la Gracia, y hasta imposible sin ella. Y la Gracia llega a través de los Sacramentos. Para ello se puede comenzar con acciones y actitudes diarias contracorriente: recibir todos los días a Jesús sacramentalmente, orar por los enemigos pidiendo para ellos lo mejor según el corazón de Dios, amar una religión que enseña cómo incluso el peor criminal, mientras vive, todavía puede convertirse en Cristo. Tal vez mejor que nosotros, sobre todo si nos apoyamos en los laureles.
